Business Area

Empire Today’s Human Resources department is a critical component to meeting our business needs through managing our most valuable resources – our employees.  The essential functions of the department include recruiting, safety, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and training and development.

Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will recruit new  sales  contractors by developing a strong network; evaluating recruiting techniques and materials; interviewing prospective contractors; and initiating campaigns to induce contractors to join in servicing customers of Empire Today.

  • Develop a network by identifying successful contractors within an assigned territory.
  • Develops a profile of prospective contractors within an assigned territory.
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying opportunities.
  • Pre-qualify, screen, sell value proposition, and manage the talent acquisition process.
  • Evaluates talent acquisition techniques by determining the effectiveness of each recruitment technique used by the recruiting team and Local Market.
  • Develop partnering relationships with local market to maximize recruitment efforts and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Maintains recruiting operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes.
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' recruiting  experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven success in recruiting contractors preferably in home improvement, retail, or construction environment.
  • Knowledge of Home Improvement Industry is highly desired
  • Proven success in recruiting contractors preferably in home improvement, retail, or construction environment.
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Ability to cope with pressure and multitask.
  • Bilingual English – Spanish is preferred but not required
