Business Area

The Email Marketing Associate Manager is responsible for managing and executing the email marketing program (campaign planning and deployment, content creation, testing and optimization, list management, analytics & reporting, and contact strategy).  Candidate must be results oriented and eager to take ownership of the email channel while collaborating with other members of the Marketing Department and relevant company stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize effectiveness of email channel for attaining business/marketing objectives including lead creation, revenue generation, customer retention, and brand recognition
  • Manage day-to-day delivery and execution for the residential and commercial business segments, including planning, development, deployment, measurement, optimization, and reporting
  • Help define and drive email marketing strategy in conjunction with other marketing programs
  • Employ a consistent best-practices approach for creating email templates, dynamic content, testing methodologies, list segmentation, and inboxing/deliverability
  • Manage lists and data integration between our email service provider and CRM
  • Create effective email campaigns with self-generated and repurposed promotional and social media copy, ensuring copy is up-to-date and on-brand with proper grammar, spelling, syntax and style
  • Manage creation of supporting visual assets with creative team
  • Mentor and manage email marketing associate(s)
  • Develop a/b and multivariate testing strategies to maximize campaign effectiveness
  • Stay abreast of competitive landscape and best practices to consistently improve channel performance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of email marketing experience with a proven track record of achieving business objectives
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation to own and constantly improve email channel performance
  • Good attention to detail, and knowledge of grammar and style best practices
  • Experience with responsive design, and coding emails using HTML and CSS
  • Collaborative attitude to work well within a high-performing marketing team
  • Working knowledge of CAN-SPAM requirements and related best practices
  • Good understanding of ISP deliverability/inboxing
  • Experience managing a direct report preferred
  • Knowledge of Oracle Responsys or Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
  • Experience in the home improvement industry a plus
  • Computer Knowledge Requirements: MS Word, Excel, Outlook
