Business Area

Empire Today’s Human Resources department is a critical component to meeting our business needs through managing our most valuable resources – our employees.  The essential functions of the department include recruiting, safety, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and training and development.


The Academy Leader (Sales) facilitates learning and development initiatives within the Sales Learning Academy, with audiences of employees and direct seller contractors within the Outside Sales, Inside Sales, Commercial Sales, and Sales Management teams.

The Sales Academy Leader is responsible for initiatives such as onboarding and educating new associates and contractor business partners and facilitating ongoing sales enablement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate contractor infoshare and employee onboarding programs.
  • Conduct on-going development activities to support sales efforts.
  • Support and mentor new sales representatives to peak performance.
  • Work with various stakeholders from Sales, Merchandising and Marketing teams to support new products, marketing campaigns, and sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain learning resources for synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
  • Support and contribute to the on-demand sales support knowledge base help center.
  • Maintain learning records and report on initiatives
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement.


The successful candidate will possess:

  • High School diploma required. Associates/Bachelor’s or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales capacity.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong people management, problem resolution and leadership skills.
  • Must be comfortable in front of the camera for both live training sessions and recorded video learning initiatives.
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training style via face-to-face and virtual modalities.
  • Strong ability to explain complex processes in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • High computer literacy, with in-depth knowledge of virtual training delivery systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Superior organizational skills, project management and attention to detail.
