Business Area

At Empire Today, our Installation Department is the base of our company. All installation team associates work with the installers to ensure all customer, sales and internal requests and requirements are fulfilled. Through daily assignment, jobsite visits and post install inspections, the installation team helps our installers perform quality and complete installations while following our company mission of making beautiful new floors easy.


This position is responsible for coordinating installer capacity activities across all markets nationally.  They ensure that the tools and processes required to effectively forecast and schedule installers in sufficient quantities, and quality, are utilized by all markets.  They will implement and maintain national action logs, as well as write and publish weekly capacity reports.  They will coordinate activities across all functions, including the NIT, TA and Market teams.

  • Assist markets in completing all capacity and scheduling set up requirements for installers, including but not limited to the capacity calendar, the capacity planning tool, and other local market actions.
  • Providing training to newly on-boarded installation team members to ensure all installation department personally nationally understand company standards and processes for capacity planning and management.
  • Assist with coordination of recruiting, qualifying, and on-boarding of all installer sub-contractors nationally.   
  • Analyze business results by using required reports to develop and execute action plans for improvement in meeting all service order needs, and achieving targeted % of AB installers. 
  • Support General Manager or Satellite Operations Manager with all capacity related market needs as requested.


The successful candidate will possess:

  • Associate’s Degree, Bachelors preferred
  • Sales and operations planning experience (S&OP)
  • Trade or sales experience a plus
  • Extensive experience managing large teams
  • Working knowledge of home improvement codes, permitting and licensing requirements Experience with material take-offs and estimating competency
  • Good knowledge of local competitors and the home flooring industry
  • Complete understanding of revenue, margin, and profit components and what drives success.
  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook required 
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate at all levels in written, verbal and presentation formats
