Responsibilities

The Manager Process improvement (MPI) will work with the Director of Operational programs to develop and implement business improvement actions, with a specific focus on the use of the ERP system, as well as the effectiveness of the Helpdesk process for the market teams. The MPI is responsible for the development, implementation (change management), and follow up auditing, of national programs that impact market operations. MPI will utilize Lean Six Sigma approaches to solve practical operational and system issues that market users are facing. The role is rooted in the use of D365 and the rest of the ERP suite, so experience with implementation of complex applications is important. MPI will lead or support Kaizen events, including blitzes for simple solutions, as well as longer programs for more comprehensive Lean efforts.

Reporting to the Director, Operational programs

  • Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma programs to improve market performance
  • Partner with the Helpdesk and market teams to improve the use and effectiveness of Helpdesk tickets
  • Identify the root cause of recurring Helpdesk tickets, and implement improvement programs that eliminates the need for users to rely on the Helpdesk
  • Formal management of Lean efforts, including all associated documentation and coordination
  • Monitor market user's performance after the implementation of Lean programs to ensure the effectiveness of the program
  • Work directly with the market teams in a coaching/teaching role as part of all change management activities
  • Travel up to 25%

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant fields of study are preferred, including business, operations, distribution, logistics, engineering, or the like
  • 5 + years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in roles focused process improvement or similar disciplines
  • Experience in dispersed market-based businesses
  • Strong verbal and written and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, especially if accompanied with experience with structured tools and methodologies
  • Well-developed data management and analytical skills
  • Previous experience in training business systems / processes is preferred
  • Ability to work and collaborate with cross functional teams
