Business Area

Empire Today’s Market Operations team is an integral part of our company's business strategy and include local personnel managing warehouses, product receipt and distribution, customer service, full life cycle of customer orders, and installation management.  This enables installers to deliver upon our commitment to our customers and support the success of Empire Today.

Position Summary

The Inventory Operations Specialist will perform a variety of duties in receiving, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes business results using the required reports, and develops and executes action plans for improvement
  • Ensures maintenance of all inventory management processes including monthly cycle counts and bin clean up
  • Ensures all customer service opportunities are logged
  • Ensures all sub-contractors are loaded in a safe, accurate and timely manner
  • Ensures all inventory is processed in and out of the system accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Ensures safety policies are always practiced and enforced


The successful candidate will possess:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree preferred

  • 3 years or more related warehouse distribution or retail home improvement experience

  • Good people management skills with ability to motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas. 
  • Initiative and decisiveness; problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of shipping and warehouse practices
  • Ability to operate a forklift and a valid driver’s license required
  • Train and implement safety policies and procedures
  • Must be flexible in a rapidly changing environment; team player; strong ability to meet deadlines; good communication skills
