**Please note: this position will be a 50/50 split between Safety and Compliance, and will eventually transition fully to Compliance. The description below will be modified to accommodate this split as soon as possible, but the general requirements will remain. **


  • Review, follow-up on, and process new contractor paperwork, including insurance certificates and endorsements, independent contractor documentation, and entity formation paperwork.
  • Enter contractor information into databases, maintain updated reporting, and communicate as appropriate regarding contractor status.
  • Make independent and critical determinations regarding contractor and business compliance; appropriately assess and communicate needs, deficiencies, and solutions.
  • Actively communicate, both orally and in writing, with management and contractors regarding missing or incorrect paperwork, insurance and licensure requirements, incorporation or formation prerequisites, and background screenings.
  • Maintain data integrity of contractors in systems including Siebel and MS Dynamics.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Talen Acquisition, Accounting/Payroll, Legal, Operations, Facilities as needed.
  • Cross-train with other Compliance Coordinators.


  • Human Resources, customer service, insurance, or administrative experience; or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency in performance of routine tasks.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills; ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Capable of intercepting and deciphering complex information, often from multiple sources, and conveying that information appropriately to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Home Improvement Industry is a plus.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates preferred.

Computer Knowledge Requirements: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (intermediate level) .
