Commercial Flooring Estimator in Northlake, IL at Empire Today

Business Area

At Empire Today, our Empire for Business (E4B) Sales & Operations team, handles the business to business (B2B) sales, and in coordination with the Empire Residential team, the installation of residential and commercial flooring products to businesses ranging from small offices, property managers, education / government, large business chains, hospitality, healthcare, and restoration.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for identifying & pursuing Commercial Bid work directly through End Users / Architects / General Contractors. This position will issue proposal & cost estimates to customers & serve as the principle point of contact for all pre-sale bid work activity.

• Generate complete & accurate quantity takeoffs for Commercial Bid Work.
• Procure material & labor pricing to put together a complete estimate.
• Create proposals & issue to End Users / General Contractors.
• Negotiate contracts & complete all necessary contract documents (submittals, insurance requirements, bid bond, schedule of values, etc.).
• Track all bidding activity with Customer Relations Management software.
• Assume complete responsibility for all pre-installation activities.
• Serve as principle point of contact for any contract related challenges.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Established relationships with industry General Contractors / Mill Reps.
• 5-7 years Commercial Flooring Estimating / sales / Project Management experience.
• Experience operating RFMS Measure Software of Industry Equivalent.
• Ability to take opportunity from start to finish, multi-tasking to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent non-verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• Ability to project manage Commercial Installations as needed.
